Matthew Walters

Background
Matthew joined Jaws in 2015, and is responsible for directing all private investments with a focus on consumer, consumer technology, and PropTech companies.
Matthew also serves on the investment committee member of Starwood Ventures, Starwood Capital Group’s dedicated PropTech fund.
Additionally, Matthew is actively involved with Jaws’ SPAC franchise. He currently serves as COO of Jaws Mustang (NYSE: JWSM). Matthew previously served as CEO Jaws Spitfire prior to its merger with Velo3D (NYSE: VLD), an advanced 3D metal printing company serving mission critical use cases, where he is a member of the Board of Directors.

Matthew received his M.S. in Quantitative Finance from Fairfield University and graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Virginia.
Sam Rohr

Sam joined Jaws in 2020, and is responsible for sourcing, executing and supporting investments with a focus on companies that support the national interest including aerospace & defense, education, supply chain, industrials, and manufacturing as well as fintech.
Before Jaws, Sam was an Associate at the Silverfern Group, a global middle-market private equity firm. He began his career as an Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Barclays.

Sam received his B.A. in International Relations from The University of Pennsylvania.
Sam Berger

Background
Sam joined Jaws in 2021, and is responsible for sourcing, executing and supporting investments with a focus on enterprise software and cybersecurity companies. He also supports all activities of the Jaws SPAC franchise.
Before Jaws, Sam was an Associate with the Technology Opportunities Fund at Charlesbank Capital Partners, a specialized private equity platform geared toward lower middle-market technology investing. He began his career as an Associate in the Technology Group at William Blair and as an Analyst in the Consumer & Retail Group at Piper Sandler.
